Account Assistant

The Account Assistant supports the finance team in financial reporting and closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation. The role assists in recording accruals, provisions, expenses, and forex transactions, as well as intercompany billing and reconciliations. The Account Assistant also supports audit and tax requirements by compiling necessary information and performs administrative and ad-hoc duties to ensure smooth Finance Department operations. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prepare financial closing for dormant entities.
• Support the finance team or accountant in entity-level financial reporting and closing matters.
• Prepare journal entries, schedules and supporting documents.
• Assist in recording accrual, provision, expenses and forex.
• Compiling requested information for auditor, tax agents and consultants.
• Assist in preparation of intercompany billing and invoices.
• Support reconciliation of balances and transaction.
• Perform administrative and ad-hoc duties as assigned to support Finance Department operations.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess at least Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or relevant qualification. At least 1 years of relevant working experience in audit or commercial.
• Experience in closing accounts.
• Good analytical and reasoning skills.
• Knowledge of SUN system will be an advantage.
• Deadline oriented, meticulous and have keen attention on details.
• Self-motivated and ability to work in a team.
• Assertive and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
