Key Responsibilities
Airfreight Operations, Documentation & Compliance
- Manage end-to-end airfreight import and export shipment execution for assigned customers from post-booking through delivery.
- Coordinate with airlines, agents, transport providers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless shipment execution.
- Prepare, validate, and process all required airfreight and import/export documentation.
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and complete shipment files in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipment milestones, proactively manage delays and operational exceptions, and ensure timely system updates.
- Serve as the primary operational owner for shipment files, ensuring accurate operational finance activities, cost verification, and invoice processing.
- Proactively communicate shipment status, exceptions, and resolutions to Customer Service teams and support customer query resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Customs, and external partners to deliver service excellence and meet customer expectations.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and compliance.
- Support performance reporting, data accuracy, and adherence to operational standards and best practices.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Airfreight Operations, Freight Forwarding, Import/Export Operations, or Logistics Coordination
- Strong understanding of airfreight import and export processes, documentation, and shipment execution
- Knowledge of international transportation regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements
- Experience working with freight forwarding systems and transportation management platforms
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipment files simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving and exception management capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience with CargoWise or similar logistics systems is an advantage
