Key Responsibilities
- Assist in client acceptance procedures, including risk assessments and preliminary analytical reviews.
- Conduct audit fieldwork in accordance with approved audit plans and established audit methodologies.
- Perform audit procedures such as sampling, testing, and preparation of Audit Working Papers (AWPs).
- Identify audit issues, conduct necessary research, and communicate findings with clients and engagement team members.
- Monitor engagement progress, ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, and follow up on review notes.
- Highlight potential risks, control weaknesses, or inefficiencies during audit engagements.
- Maintain complete and accurate audit documentation in compliance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the audit team in delivering high-quality services within agreed timelines.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Audit Manager or Partner.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent recognised by MIA).
- Minimum 1 year of audit experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
- Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and audit practices is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced working environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, as the role requires handling Chinese-speaking clients and counterparts.
