BO Chargeman (11kV)

BO CHARGEMAN 11kV CUM FACILITIES OPERATIONS LEAD

Location: Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, Selangor

MST Facilities Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced BO Chargeman 11kV cum Facilities Operations Lead to take charge of electrical operations and provide day-to-day on-site operational leadership for a major multi-tenanted warehouse and logistics portfolio in Klang.

The successful candidate will be the key MST operational representative at site, working closely with the Facilities Manager, engineers, technicians, Building Services Supervisor, contractors and customer representatives.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations Leadership:

• Act as the MST on-site Facilities Operations Lead.
• Coordinate day-to-day facilities operations and ensure smooth delivery of IFM services.
• Serve as the first-line operational escalation point for site issues, incidents and emergencies.
• Coordinate daily activities across M&E, HVAC, building services and specialist contractors.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms, technical areas and common facilities.
• Monitor daily operations, outstanding work orders and critical maintenance issues.
• Ensure effective operational handover and communication between shifts.
  
  

Electrical Operations

• Take charge of the safe operation and maintenance of the site's 11kV electrical distribution system.
• Supervise electrical switching, isolation, shutdown and restoration activities.
• Monitor transformers, switchgear, LV distribution, standby power and related electrical systems.
• Plan and supervise electrical preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor electrical parameters and equipment condition.
• Maintain electrical operation logs and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate specialist electrical contractors.
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
  
  

Facilities Operations

• Coordinate daily preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Work closely with the M&E and C&S Engineers, Building Services Supervisor and technicians.
• Monitor PM completion, breakdown response and outstanding work orders.
• Escalate critical defects and operational risks to the Facilities Manager.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
  
  

Contractor & Emergency Coordination

• Coordinate specialist contractors during maintenance, shutdowns and improvement works.
• Work closely with the Building Services Supervisor, who directly manages the janitorial, landscaping and handyman vendors.
• Ensure contractors comply with site access, HSE and permit-to-work requirements.
• Act as a key site leader during emergency situations.
• Support incident investigation, corrective actions and business continuity exercises.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid BO Chargeman 11kV competency certification recognised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in electrical facilities operation and maintenance.
• Strong practical experience with 11kV distribution systems, switchgear and transformers.
• Industrial, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, semiconductor or MNC facilities experience is highly preferred.
• Previous experience supervising technicians, contractors or facilities operations is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety, switching procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Strong operational leadership and communication skills.
• Able to make sound decisions during breakdowns and emergencies.
• Willing to work shifts, standby or on-call when required.
  
  

This is a key site leadership position for an experienced BO Chargeman who wants to progress beyond electrical operations into broader Facilities Operations leadership.
