As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procurement activities across Singapore and Malaysia, supporting categories such as transportation, fleet, warehousing, distribution equipment, maintenance services, and other operational requirements. You will also coordinate customs brokerage activities, including cross-border documentation, import duties and taxes, and cargo clearance with customs brokers, relevant authorities, and internal stakeholders. Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will help ensure continuity of supply and service, drive cost competitiveness and operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with procurement policies, SHEQ standards, local regulations, and business governance requirements. Reporting to the Commodity Manager – Distribution & Logistics, this is an individual contributor role.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will execute sourcing and procurement activities across Singapore and Malaysia, supporting transportation, fleet, warehousing, logistics services, distribution equipment, maintenance services, and other operational requirements while ensuring cost competitiveness, service reliability, and compliance with company standards.
• Furthermore, you will manage tendering and sourcing exercises, conduct commercial evaluations, negotiate contracts and supplier agreements, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver value-driven procurement solutions that support business objectives
• Supplier relationship management is part of your role, including identifying and onboarding suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with contractual, SHEQ, and governance requirements
• Additionally, you will coordinate customs brokerage and cross-border logistics activities, working with customs brokers, authorities, logistics teams, and Finance/Tax teams to support efficient cargo clearance, import and export documentation, and landed-cost management
• You will also contribute to procurement transformation initiatives, process improvements, digitalization projects, and regional procurement programs while ensuring adherence to procurement policies, audit requirements, and best procurement practices
  
  

Winning in your role. Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience encompassing logistics, customs brokerage, and relevant tax management, including import duties, SST, and GST where applicable, with demonstrated ability to independently manage sourcing exercises, commercial negotiations, and contract administration
• Experience in distribution or logistics industry
