Job Overview

Support daily facilities shift operations by monitoring equipment, utilities, and building systems, responding to facilities operational issues, and ensuring safe, reliable, and continuous support for plant operations

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant facilities equipment, utilities, and building systems according to established checklists and operating requirements to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Perform shift duties and provide continuous facilities support to plant operations, including weekends when required.
• Respond promptly to facilities calls, equipment alarms, abnormalities, failures, and defects, and carry out systematic troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Plan, coordinate, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities equipment, plant systems, and electrical switchboards.
• Coordinate and complete facilities job requests from Production and other departments in a timely manner.
• Conduct self-audits, follow up and close audit findings, and support internal and external audit activities as required.
• Raise purchase requests for contractor services, building maintenance, facility re-layout activities, spare parts, and other facilities requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate external contractors for plant maintenance, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, and other facilities-related works.
• Ensure contractor activities are performed safely and in accordance with site requirements.
• Coordinate and implement energy-saving, cost-saving, and facilities improvement initiatives.
• Maintain shift records, equipment readings, checklists, maintenance records, reports, and proper shift handover.
• Perform minor repairs and general maintenance, including plumbing, office furniture, floor mats, and other facility items as required.
• Support facilities-related emergency response and take appropriate action during equipment or utility failures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions within facilities areas.
• Perform other facilities-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
  
  

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Chargeman Certificate of Competency issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia
• 5 years’ facilities experience in manufacturing facilities operations, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and shift operations.
