Customer Service Technical Manager

Mission

In charge of designing, testing and optimizing automated systems for end customers to help businesses improve processes, save costs, and achieve better outcome.

Main Tasks

  • To lead machine electrical panel design & automation works from start to finish of the engineering process.
  • To break down engineering tasks among the allocated resources for each machine as when required.
  • To prepare machine startup & testing planning to suite machine FAT date.
  • To carry out electrical circuit detail design and able to justify the design with calculation and other design basic.
  • To select and size appropriate electrical components to suite project requirement with the engineering calculation and supporting documents.
  • To ensure electrical diagrams & BOMs are completed within allowable time schedule.
  • To generate new control system architecture as when required.
  • To generate new machine feature control sequence flow chart as when required.
  • To review and ensure Electrical BOMs are accurate and updated all the time.
  • To prepare machine program, control system, safety program and HMI program as per project requirement.
  • To startup machine, program testing, troubleshooting and fine tuning in production floor as per planning.
  • To support machine installation and commissioning at site as when required.
  • To update and compile electrical diagrams & information into PLM after FAT.
  • To prepare machine site installation guide for any leftover electrical & automation works after FAT.
  • To support presales User Requirement Specification (URS) review and budget costing as when required.
  • To initiate and prepare standard operating procedures and work instructions for electrical circuit designs and machine control system.
  • To provide technical support to Production department on any engineering issues and to troubleshoot any complaint by customers.
  • To create, enhance and maintain a pool of electrical design database and standard program database that could be used as and when required for other projects.
  • To lead a working group in the Continuous Improvement Project and report its progress as when assigned.
  • To participate in process improvement activities that promotes business excellence through cross functional activities, in collaboration with other departments.
  • To manage customers’ expectations.
  • To support customers remotely and at site on engineering, upgrades & troubleshooting of customer’s problem.
  • To coordinate internally and externally with customers on installation and upgrading plans.
  • To carry out any other duties that maybe assigned by the management from time to time.

Information Technology

  • Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
  • Programming Software – B7R, ISA Graf, Siemens, Allen Bradley etc.
  • CRM Software – MD Dynamics
  • PLM Software – SmartTeam

Competences & Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in any discipline preferably in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years related work experience preferably in original equipment manufacturing or maintenance.
  • Experience in developing machine electrical panel and control system from conceptual ideas until full completion of machine with full ais of engineering calculations.
  • Good knowledge of electrical circuit design, design standards, techniques, procedures, simulation and standard components selection.
  • Able to read and understand electrical diagram and process flow chart.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skill.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Well organised, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
