Data Scientist

About The Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will work with large and diverse datasets to generate insights, build analytical models, and support data-driven decision making across the Bank. You will collaborate closely with business and technology teams and contribute to the continuous development of data science practices.

What You Will Be Doing

• Conduct data mining and extraction from various sources.
• Utilize machine learning tools for model building to support decision making
• Contribute to the development of best practices in data science.
• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to find patterns/insights and propose solutions.
• Develop insights from data patterns to support decision-making.
• Participate in project to render support to project team with minimum supervision
• Collaborate with peers to share expertise and insights.
• Mentor and guide associate data scientist in analytics projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives to achieve the business revenue or cost value goal outcome
• Contribute to the development of best practices in data science.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong experience in data analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
• Hands-on experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages commonly used for analytics and modeling.
• Ability to translate complex analytical results into clear business insights.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.
• Self-driven, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is an advantage.
