Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Solutions Architect – Data exists to design, govern, and assure scalable enterprise data platform solutions that enable trusted data management, analytics, and business intelligence outcomes. The role serves as the design authority for Data Platform initiatives, ensuring architecture decisions align with enterprise standards, governance requirements, business needs, and future-state technology direction.

  • Solution Architecture & Solution Design
  • Design enterprise and complex Data Platform solutions.
  • Define architecture approaches across Microsoft Fabric, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Analytics platforms.
  • Create enterprise and complex High-Level Designs (HLDs).
  • Establish architecture patterns that support performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Ensure solution designs align with approved standards and business objectives.
  • Architecture Governance & Design Assurance
  • Review and approve HLDs developed within the Data Platform domain.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and technical design assurance activities.
  • Validate architecture decisions, assumptions, and technology selections.
  • Assess solution risks, dependencies, and architecture deviations.
  • Escalate exceptions requiring governance approval.
  • 3. Data Platform Transformation Leadership
  • Lead architecture workshops and technical design discussions.
  • Provide technical advisory for enterprise data modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate architecture options and recommend optimal solution approaches.
  • Support delivery teams in resolving architecture and design challenges.
  • Promote modern data platform practices and architecture patterns.
  • Delivery Readiness & Solution Transition
  • Validate implementation readiness against approved architecture requirements.
  • Review implementation approaches and solution transition plans.
  • Support project teams in architecture clarification and design interpretation.
  • Ensure delivery activities remain aligned to approved architecture intent.
  • Resolve architecture-related implementation risks and issues.
  • Data Platform Capability Development
  • Develop reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, accelerators, and standards.
  • Mentor specialists, engineers, and emerging architects.
  • Support technical capability development and certification initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of architecture best practices within the Data Platform practice.
  • Contribute to Data & AI pillar capability maturity initiatives.


Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Microsoft Fabric, Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, or Architecture certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platforms, Analytics, or related technology domains.
  • Experience designing enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Experience producing architecture artefacts, HLDs, and technical standards.
  • Experience leading architecture workshops and technical governance activities.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data transformation initiatives.
