Demand Planner (Global)
Coherent Corp.
- Develop and maintain accurate 8-Quarter demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, customer and marketing input
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to gather information and insights for demand planning
- Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, capacity utilization and inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability to meet customer demand
- Analyze and report on demand trends, identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Implement and manage demand planning software and tools
- Coordinate with supply planners and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products
- Conduct regular reviews of demand forecasts and adjust plans as necessary
- Responsible for the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Process)
- Schedule meetings, prepare data, involve all necessary people/departments
- Prepare and present demand planning reports to senior management
- FYI key responsibilities may change by different location or segment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management
