Purpose Statement

Responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to support business objectives, customer service levels, and inventory optimization. The Demand Planner analyzes historical sales, market trends, customer demand patterns, and business intelligence to create data-driven forecasts that enable effective supply planning and inventory management. He/She partners closely with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, and Global Supply Chain teams to support the SIOP process and drive forecast accuracy improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts at product, family, and customer levels.
  • Analyze historical sales, market trends, customer demand signals, promotions, and seasonal patterns to generate accurate demand forecasts.
  • Lead monthly Demand Review and actively participate in the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and Global Supply Chain teams to align demand assumptions and business plans.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and key demand planning KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform scenario analysis and demand sensitivity modeling to assess business risks and opportunities.
  • Identify demand changes, supply risks, and capacity constraints, providing timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Support Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Budget, CBP, and long-range planning activities.
  • Develop dashboards and management reports using Power BI, Tableau, SAP, and Kinaxis RapidResponse.
  • Analyze customer ordering behaviors and consumption patterns to improve forecast quality and service performance.
  • Work closely with Supply Planning and Material Planning teams to ensure alignment between demand and supply plans.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives through improved forecast visibility and planning accuracy.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to forecasting processes, planning systems, and analytics capabilities.
  • Ensure demand planning master data and assumptions are accurate and properly maintained.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and statistical forecasting techniques to improve forecast reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, Business Analytics, or related fields.
  • Strong expertise in demand forecasting, statistical analysis, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, Power BI, Tableau, and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with forecasting models, trend analysis, and demand planning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting SIOP, AOP, budgeting, and business planning processes.
  • Knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory optimization, and demand-supply balancing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset with Lean, Kaizen, or operational excellence experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global environment.
