DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER (Manufacturing in Johor)

Company Overview

Our client is an well established manufacturing company in Senai, Johor. They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Deputy General Manager to lead the overall operations of the manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, quality, safety, workforce development, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all plant operations including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
• Execute business strategies, annual operating plans, budgets, and capital expenditure initiatives.
• Drive profitability through cost optimization, productivity improvements, and resource efficiency.
• Monitor plant performance and provide regular operational, financial, and KPI reports to Management.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, DOE, labour laws, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Champion quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and operational teams to achieve business objectives.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and positive industrial relations.
  
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership position such as Plant Manager, Factory Manager, Plant Head, or Deputy General Manager.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality management, EHS, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and P&L accountability.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
