EHS Specialist - Your future position?
As the EHS Specialist, you will work under the leadership of the EHS Manager to provide support in managing daily EHS operations, specifically focusing on one or more areas of environmental, health, and safety specializations. The role will promote a strong EHS culture across the organization and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
In this role, you will report to the EHS Manager and will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

EHS Specialist - Your future position?
As the EHS Specialist, you will work under the leadership of the EHS Manager to provide support in managing daily EHS operations, specifically focusing on one or more areas of environmental, health, and safety specializations. The role will promote a strong EHS culture across the organization and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
In this role, you will report to the EHS Manager and will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

- Support management and operations in maintaining compliance with Givaudan standards and applicable Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
- Liaise with authorities (e.g., DOSH, DOE, Bomba, Local Authorities) and promptly report any regulatory concerns to the EHS Manager.
- Stay updated on EHS requirements and apply regulatory knowledge to site operations, projects, and daily activities.
- Maintain and update EHS management systems, including documentation, records, and filing to ensure legal and internal compliance.
- Participate in incident investigations and risk assessments, proposing and following up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training sessions, awareness programs, and compliance initiatives.
- Support the planning and execution of audits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring findings are tracked and closed effectively.
- Prepare and update EHS performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for management review.
- Organize and support EHS committee activities, including meetings, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Promote sustainability practices by monitoring and updating data on energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and waste management.

Your professional profile includes
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or EHS, or relevant field.
- 4+ years of experience in EHS within flavours/food or chemical manufacturing-related industries.
- Knowledgeable in all 3 pillars of EHS (Environment, Safety & Health) practices with experience managing risk assessments, audits, internal staff training, Gemba walks etc.
- Well-versed in EHS regulations and local law compliance, with experience dealing with legal authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, ST, and MOH.
- Familiarity with legal compliance platforms such as myKKP (DOSH), myPremis, eSWIS, Kualiti Alam (DOE), and e-Bless (BOMBA).
- Basic understanding of EHS fundamentals i.e. incidents investigation, social compliance/external or customer audits (SMETA,ISO,etc), emergency response plan.
- DOSH Safety & Health Officer or DOE competent person (Scheduled Waste Management) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Adaptable; independent and proactive.
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in softwares such as Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Fluent in English and local languages.
