Job Summary

Responsible for driving the sales and market growth of Volvo Construction Equipment by developing new customers, strengthening existing accounts and providing suitable equipment solutions based on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Promote Volvo Construction Equipment across construction, quarry, mining, plantation and related industries.
  • Identify new customers, projects and business opportunities.
  • Maintain regular customer visits and ensure strong market coverage.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable machines and solutions.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, tender documents and sales agreements.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within the company’s approval framework.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback.
  • Coordinate with service, parts, finance and technical teams to support customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and reports.
  • Promote service and aftermarket solutions.
  • Follow up on customer payments and receivables when required.

Education/Professional Qualifications Required For The Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of sales experience, including one year in construction equipment, heavy machinery or a related industry.
  • Strong B2B sales, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of customer applications.
  • Technical knowledge of construction equipment is an advantage.
  • Customer-focused, target-driven and able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage to support communication with Mandarin speaking customers/vendors/stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel regularly and work in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
