FA engineer position

Job Description:

• Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on RMA (Return Material Analysis) and internal production fall out units.
• Identify root cause of failures using systematic engineering methods (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D)and work with engineering teams on corrective solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive FA reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations with the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design teams to drive continuous product improvement.
• Participate in customer discussions regarding failure mechanisms and product reliability.
• Operate and maintain failure analysis equipment, ensuring that it is calibrated and in good working order. Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Optoelectronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5+ years experience in technical support, applications engineering, or similar role. Experience in basic knowledge and principle of optical devices will be added advantage.
• Strong understanding of electronics systems, embedded systems, or semiconductor products.
• Capabe to use optics FA tools such as DCA, curve tracer, oscilloscope, multimeter, LCR meters, high & low mag microscope, etc.
• Familiar with circuit diagrams and a strong background in Electronics. Capable to decipher schematic diagram.
• Familiar with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA and JMP.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, good analytical and report writing skills.
• Can work independently and work with support teams as needed.
