About The Role
Build beautiful, performant user interfaces for web applications serving Japanese and ASEAN markets. Work with modern frontend technologies and collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive web applications using React and Next.js
- Implement pixel-perfect UIs from Figma designs
- Optimize application performance (Core Web Vitals, bundle size)
- Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
- Write comprehensive tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)
- Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility
- Implement accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Collaborate with Japanese clients and designers
- 3–5 years of frontend development experience
- Expert in React and Next.js (App Router, Server Components)
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
- Experience with CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS, Material-UI)
- Understanding of web performance optimization
- Version control with Git
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication in English
- Japanese language proficiency (N3 or higher) — plus
- Experience with React Native for mobile development
- Knowledge of state management (Zustand, Redux, React Query)
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Understanding of SEO best practices
- Experience with animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP)
- Prior work with Japanese clients or design standards
