Key Task

Strategy & Growth

• Define and execute central Malaysia airfreight strategy aligned with regional direction
• Drive growth in key identified sectors/industry
• Develop lane, gateway, consolidation and capacity strategies (KLIA, Penang, Singapore, regional hubs)
  
  
  

P&L & Financial Performance

• Full ownership of airfreight P&L for central Malaysia
• Deliver revenue, GP, EBIT, GP/kg and cost-to-serve targets
• Ensure pricing discipline, yield improvement, and cost control
  
  
  

Operations & Service Excellence

• Oversee air export, air import, freight planning, and gateway operations
• Ensure SOP compliance, uplift reliability, and on-time performance
• Manage peak season planning, ad-hoc capacity, and charter solutions
  
  
  

Airline & Vendor Management

• Lead airline relationship management at branch level
• Support airline procurement, allotments, block space, and charters
• Manage trucking, warehouse, and GHA vendor performance
  
  
  

Commercial & Key Accounts

• Work in partnership with Sales and Key Account teams on RFQs and strategic accounts
• Provide senior engagement for key customers and escalations
• Drive cross-border collaboration with regional teams
  
  
  

People & Leadership

• Lead and develop the central Malaysia airfreight leadership team
• Build a strong performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability
• Drive talent development, engagement, and succession planning
  
  
  

Systems & Transformation

• Drive effective use of airfreight systems (e.g. CargoWise / TANGO or equivalent)
• Lead process improvements, automation, and change initiatives
• Ensure data accuracy, reporting quality, and compliance
  
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field
• More than 10 years of airfreight experience, with senior leadership exposure
• Proven P&L ownership in freight forwarding or logistics
• Strong airline procurement and capacity management expertise
• Excellent commercial, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Malaysia market experience required; regional exposure preferred
