About The Role
- Work Location Tampoi, Johor Bahru Malaysia
- Reporting To Senior HR Business Partner - SEA
As a HR Business Partner, you will collaborate with business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and employee engagement at our Tampoi site. This role focuses on delivering best-in-class HR practices, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring compliance while leveraging shared services for operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Organizational Effectiveness
- Lead execution of organizational effectiveness priorities and initiatives in line with business strategy and plans
- Responsible for the people and organization-design related aspects of change programs
- Monitor and interpret key indicators of organizational effectiveness and ensure plans are in place to course-correct as needed
- Coach & partner with business leaders on their role in leading organizational effectiveness
- Support the site in delivering high performance and meeting key performance indicator
- Aligned with business strategy, deliver talent priorities which includes coaching people leaders in talent planning, talent identification, talent pipelines, organizational planning and performance
- Partner with COEs in driving effectiveness of people leader skill and leadership competencies
- Partner with talent acquisition team in strategic resourcing requirements, work with leaders to validate open roles, coaching and challenging where necessary on requirements for new or replacement roles.
- Participate in the assessment and selection process for critical / key leadership role
- Leverage Reward Programs to drive business performance and employee engagement which includes compensation, benefit and recognition
- Partner with Reward COE on appropriate solutions to address business need
- Consult, partner, coach Business Leaders re Total Reward decisions
- Provide business insights to influence Reward COE strategy
- A people champion who understands people’s needs from all levels
- Partner with and coach people leaders and Unions in building and maintaining an inclusive work environment
- Coach & Support People Leaders on the execution of ourVoice (Employee Survey) Engagement Plans
- Ensure compliance in employee relations and international labor standard (SMETA or RBA), develop action plans to remediate issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Employee Relations issues
- Partner with COE and GBS in driving excellent employee experience
- May require to take on regional and continuous improvement projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a multinational setting.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and industrial relations practices.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and manage complex employee relations.
- Experience with audit processes related to food industry standards (e.g., SMETA, ISO, HACCP) is a plus.
