Intern - Data Engineer

Intern will learn and be exposed to:

• Gain hands-on experience in creating and interpreting data mapping documents, essential for building scalable data pipelines.

• Hands-on experience in real-world data modelling

• Understanding of centralized data repository and data lake

• Opportunity to develop organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Specific responsibilities:

• Create and maintain data mapping documents to define the relationships between source data and target schemas.

• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure that data mapping aligns with business rules and reporting needs.

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.

• Support the ingestion of data from multiple sources into a centralized data repository or data lake.

• Perform basic data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.

Requirements:

• Minimum internship period 5 months, preferably in final semester

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Data Analytics, or related field.

• Solid understanding of SQL (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries, etc.).

• Familiarity with relational databases such as oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server

• Attention to detail, especially with data accuracy and query logic.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Bonus: Exposure to data visualization tools.
