Intern - Digitalisation (Software & AI Development)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Development Intern with a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to join our team that leads the implementation of AI company wide. As part of the AI team in Gamuda Land, our objective is to develop, test, and deploy innovative AI solutions across the company, focusing on improving customer experience & operational efficiencies. One of our key responsibilities is to work closely with different business units to align on requirements for deploying bespoke AI solutions. This role provides the opportunity to learn and expand one’s skills in full-stack development, integrating AI into operational workflows and managing different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities-

The intern will work under the supervision of Engineering Manager and fellow software development team-

• To support in the designing, developing and deploying bespoke AI solutions within the given project timelines.

• To support in maintaining and iterating on in-house developed AI powered applications.

• To support in conducting R&D on the latest AI tools and software to enhance Gamuda’s AI initiatives.

• To assist in collaborating with different business units and stakeholders to identify operational challenges and determine how AI can address these issues or optimize workflows.

• To assist in providing technical support to end users to ensure effective adoption of new AI tools and platforms.

• Other duties that may occasionally be assigned by the Management.

Qualification and Experience

• Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering/related fields.

• Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic exposure on programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.

• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, databases, APIs, and software development practices. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS) will be an advantage.

• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI APIs, or technologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and embeddings will be an advantage.

• Willingness to learn new technologies and solve problems.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
