Job Purpose

The QA Automation Intern will support the QA team by assisting in the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts. This role is designed for students or fresh graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in software testing, automation tools, and Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing basic automated test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
• Support the execution of automated and manual test cases.
• Help maintain and update existing automation scripts and test documentation.
• Learn and use tools like Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, and Cucumber as part of daily tasks.
• Log defects, update test cases, and track issues using JIRA.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Conduct basic analysis of test results and escalate issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and testing needs.
• Continuously learn automation concepts, coding standards, and testing best practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts (preferably in Java).
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium or testing frameworks is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and/or JavaScript is an advantage.
• Strong interest in Quality Assurance, testing methodologies, and automation.
• Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
