What you’ll do:
The Logistics Specialist supports pre-sales and tendering activities for large-scale PTU projects across the EA region by providing expert logistics planning, freight cost estimation, and customs advisory. This role focuses on developing competitive and compliant logistics solutions during the bidding phase, working closely with commercial, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Support freight RFQ activities for project tenders, including preparation, follow-ups, and consolidation of quotations.
- Maintain organized records of RFQs, rate cards, and vendor quotations for future reference.
- Support coordination with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including freight forwarders and 3PL warehouses, during tender and planning stages.
- Assist in maintaining effective working relationships with LSPs to ensure timely and reliable quotation support.
- Track and compile LSP performance data (e.g., pricing competitiveness, responsiveness) for internal review.
- Support monitoring of basic KPIs and contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist in documenting issues and supporting follow-up actions (CAPA) with LSPs.
- Act as a coordination point for collecting inputs during logistics-related escalations.
- Assist in preparing logistics cost estimates and maintaining project logistics budgets.
- Support tracking of logistics spend against estimates and highlight variances.
- Contribute to cost optimization initiatives by gathering data and benchmarking freight rates.
- Perform any other duties or ad hoc assignments as assigned by the reporting manager.
- Be committed and responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS):
a. Implement the process approach and risk-based thinking.
b. Provide the necessary support to fully implement and sustain the QMS.
c. Communicate to the organization the importance of conforming to QMS requirements.
d. Ensure the QMS meets its goals.
e. Engage, direct, and support individuals contributing to the QMS.
f. Create a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hands-on logistics operations, including handling OOG cargos
Basics understanding of warehouse operation, custom/ FTA documentation
An individual who is highly responsible, a critical thinker, analytical mindset, good negotatiator and problem-solver.
