Job Summary:
The Inbound and Value Added Services Manager is responsible for managing receiving, putaway, and secondary repackaging operations. This role ensures all inbound goods are received accurately, put away on time, and made available for storage, order fulfilment, or value added services. The role also oversees VAS activities such as secondary repackaging, relabelling, bundling, repacking, and other customer or business-required product preparation activities.

Job Responsibilities:
Inbound: Receiving and Putaway

  • Manage daily inbound operations including unloading, receiving, checking, verification, system confirmation, and putaway.
  • Ensure all incoming goods are received accurately against purchase orders, ASN, delivery orders, or transfer documents.
  • Monitor inbound schedules, dock usage, and receiving priorities to avoid congestion.
  • Ensure timely system confirmation of received goods.
  • Oversee putaway activities to ensure goods are moved to the correct storage locations.
  • Manage inbound staging and temporary holding areas efficiently.
  • Coordinate with Inventory, Planning, Transport, and Operations teams to resolve inbound discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper handling of shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, wrong items, and documentation mismatches.


Value Added Services

  • Manage daily VAS operations including secondary repackaging, relabelling, bundling, kitting, promotional packing, and other repacking requirements.
  • Ensure VAS activities are completed accurately, safely, and within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Inventory, Quality, and Operations teams to confirm VAS requirements, priorities, and completion status.
  • Ensure repackaged goods are correctly labelled, packed, updated, and handed over for storage or outbound processing.
  • Monitor VAS productivity, quality, material usage, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure proper control of packaging materials, labels, consumables, and repacking tools.
  • Manage VAS staging areas to avoid mix-ups between pending, in-progress, completed, and rejected items.


Operational Control

  • Monitor manpower planning, shift execution, productivity, accuracy, and operational discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, 5S, quality, and warehouse operating standards.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to improve receiving, putaway, and VAS efficiency.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, KPI performance, productivity trends, and issue logs.


Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in warehouse operations, inventory management, lean management, quality management, or supply chain management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role handling inbound, receiving, putaway, VAS, repacking, or inventory-related operations.
  • Experience in FMCG, retail distribution, e-commerce fulfilment, cold chain, or high-volume warehouse operations will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing operational KPIs, manpower planning, receiving accuracy, putaway productivity, VAS output, repacking quality, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Sg Jati, Klang.
