The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of production to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality semiconductor devices. This role serves as the operational backbone for operation with balancing people leadership, process excellence and business performance.
The role is reporting to Senior Manufacturing Manager and has direct report of shift supervisors with a team of operators.

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of production to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality semiconductor devices. This role serves as the operational backbone for operation with balancing people leadership, process excellence and business performance.
The role is reporting to Senior Manufacturing Manager and has direct report of shift supervisors with a team of operators.
What you need to do?
- Manage day-to-day manufacturing operation activities at his/her respective area / production floor.
- Leading and developing a team consists of shift supervisors and operators who range from 200 to 300 across the 2 shifts 3 teams.
- Forecast resource needed to ensure material is not disconnected from supply chain. Resource including Work in Progress, equipment, indirect material, small equipment.
- Monitor workflows and resolve bottlenecks.
- Ensuring equipment uptime and coordinating with maintenance team on preventive and corrective actions.
- Manage shopfloor resources to ensure optimization and right coverage of operators to machine hence to meet targeted KPI.
- To ensure shopfloor discipline inclusive of people attendance, break time and approval of annual leave and overtime.
- To ensure operators are certified and trained for operating equipment / tools including safety awareness and quality principles.
- Monitor production KPI: cycle time, throughput, yield and OEE and derive action plan.
- Develop production schedules to meet customer and business demand.
- Manage capacity planning and review target setting with collaboration with Supplier Chain Management team.
- Collaborate with process engineering team to assess and review new procedures / instruction / improvement /corrective actions and deploy accordingly with close monitoring of effectiveness and feedback to respective personnel for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with maintenance and equipment to identify poor performance equipment for restoration or modification.
- Coordinate with quality department on quality issues such as SPC compliance, equipment red tag and customer complaints.
- Degree in Science or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing people or min 15 years supervisor role in any mass manufacturing industry.
- Familiar with semiconductor manufacturing processes will be added advantage.
- Proven leadership and people management skills
