Operations Executive

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our Projects department. This role is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and will play a pivotal role in coordinating the end-to-end execution of complex project shipments.

Your Role

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics of projects shipments including documentation.  
• Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods from the origin to the destination as per scope of work provided by the Project Manager / Operations Manager. 
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and processes.  
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies and other service providers to ensure shipment are transported safely and efficiently.   
• Monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to customers.  
• Address and resolve operational issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.   
• Maintaining operational excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and provide service quality as per Blue Water standards.  
• Travelling to meet clients or overseeing operations in various locations globally when required. 
  
  

Your Background

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in heavy cargo or out-of-gauge operations, logistics, or project management, preferably in project freight forwarding.  
• Familiarity with specialized vessels and equipment, such as MPP/heavylift vessels, deck carriers, semi-subs, multi-axle trailers and self-propelled modular transporters, as well as a working knowledge of customs procedures for oversized cargo, are preferred.   
• Possess a solid understanding of transportation regulations, particularly those related to oversize and heavy haul shipments.  
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are crucial for coordinating complex over dimensional cargo movements.   
• Ability to manage various operations simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
