PrimaBaguz, established in 1987, is a Malaysian manufacturer renowned for its high-quality halal meat products consisting of frankfurters & sausages, cold-cuts, gourmet soups and sauces, meatballs and patties. Since 2020, it has been part of Johnsonville, a leading processed meat company from Wisconsin, USA. This acquisition strengthens Johnsonville’s foothold in Southeast Asia and enables access to global foodservice clients such as quick-service restaurants and HORECA services. Johnsonville aims to utilize PrimaBaguz’s halal expertise to expand into growing markets in Asia and the Middle East.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for coordinating learning and development initiatives, ensuring compliance with training and regulatory requirements, and supporting various Human Resources functions. The incumbent will manage training administration, HRDC claims, employee records, audit documentation, recruitment activities, employee engagement programmes, and HR policy implementation. The role also supports compliance with labour laws, food safety requirements, and initiatives that enhance employee experience and workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and Manage training and development activities, including training arrangements & needs, HRDC claims, attendance records, evaluations, and certificate issuance.
• Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate Food Handler Training with registered external training providers.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant HR documents and records.
• Liaise with auditors on food safety, quality, and other compliance audits.
• Track and manage typhoid vaccination records for operational employees.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and employment regulations.
• Support employee engagement activities, staff events, wellness programmes, and company initiatives.
• Assist with internal communications and employee feedback programmes.
• Support initiatives to strengthen workplace culture, teamwork, and employee experience.
• Assist with end-to-end recruitment activities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
  
  

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in HR Operations or a generalist HR role.
• Experience in training and development, employee engagement, and HR administration.
  
  

Skills

• Good understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
