Practical Trainee (Internship - Based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor)

Job Purpose

The Practical Trainee/Intern is responsible to provide day-to-day support to the project team in site monitoring, inspections, project documentation, progress tracking, M&E, infrastructure and planning activities, including preparation for project completion, Vacant Possession (VP) and handover. The role provides practical exposure to property development and project management while supporting the team in the effective monitoring, coordination and completion of ongoing project activities.

Job Accountabilities

• Support the team in the day-to-day monitoring and coordination of ongoing project and site activities across Estuari Green, Estuari Parkhomes, Senadi Hills and other assigned projects.
• Assist with site monitoring, inspections, progress tracking and follow-up of outstanding project and completion matters.
• Support M&E inspections, infrastructure works, planning matters and related project coordination activities under the guidance of the project team.
• Assist in Vacant Possession (VP), project completion and handover preparation activities, including monitoring and documentation of outstanding items.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports, trackers, progress updates, records, presentations and other relevant documents.
• Support the team in collecting, compiling and analysing project information and data for monitoring and reporting purposes.
• Participate in site visits, project meetings, inspections and coordination activities, where required.
• Use relevant systems, software and digital tools to support project monitoring, documentation and reporting.
• Work collaboratively with team members and relevant stakeholders while maintaining appropriate confidentiality, integrity and professionalism.
• Undertake other assignments and project-related tasks to gain practical exposure to property development, project management and completion/VP processes.
  
  

Minimum Essential Qualifications & Technical Competencies

• Formal Education
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, construction/project management, building services, property development/real estate management, planning, or other related disciplines.
• Work Experience
• No minimum working experience required for this internship placement.
• Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in documentation, monitoring and follow-up.
• Able and willing to participate in site-based activities, inspections and project coordination, where required.
• Able to work collaboratively within a project team and manage assigned tasks responsibly.
• Demonstrates initiative, willingness to learn and adaptability in handling different project activities and challenges.
