Professional Engineer in Electrical/ Electronic/ Computer/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering

Position: Professional Engineer in Electrical/ Electronic/ Computer/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering

• Deliver and support teaching in engineering courses, with a strong emphasis on practical application and industry relevance.

• Integrate engineering design, safety, ethics, and professional practice into curriculum delivery.

• Supervise Final Year Projects (FYP), capstone projects, and industrial training.

• Contribute to curriculum development and review to ensure alignment with industry needs and EAC requirements.

• Support the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), including assessment, moderation, and continuous improvement.

• Lead or support engineering programme accreditation, audits, and compliance activities in line with BEM and EAC standards.

• Engage with industry through consultancy, collaboration, and professional networking.

• Contribute to research, innovation, and applied engineering projects.

• Mentor students and support their professional development and career readiness.

• Conduct applied research, contribute to grant applications, and participate in consultancy projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline (PhD preferred).

• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

• Active membership and engagement in relevant professional bodies (e.g., IEM, IEEE, IMechE).

• Strong technical competence in the relevant engineering discipline, with practical and applied engineering experience.

• Familiarity with Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF), and EAC requirements.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant industry experience in engineering practice.
• Demonstrated track record of research publications, consultancy, or significant industrial projects (added advantage).
