Position Summary
The Recertification Administrator supports Abbott’s Global Access Administration (GAA) team by coordinating, executing, and validating access recertification campaigns for critical, regulated, and SOX-scoped applications. This role ensures accurate entitlement data, timely campaign completion, and alignment with Abbott’s internal controls, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
The administrator will work closely with application contacts, business partners, and GAA technicians to maintain secure access governance processes across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Recertification Lifecycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end execution of quarterly access recertification campaigns across EAR, IIQ-connected, and manually certified applications.
- Ensure all in-scope applications are certified within their required timelines to maintain compliance with Abbott’s internal and external audit requirements.
- Validate user, role, and entitlement data for completeness and accuracy prior to campaign launch.
- Monitor campaign progress, follow up with application owners, and escalate risks to leadership when needed.
- Submit finalized recertification evidence, ensuring alignment with Abbott’s documentation and audit standards.
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance
- Perform detailed analysis of entitlement data, user access lists, dangling accounts, and metadata to identify anomalies or inconsistencies.
- Utilize Abbott-standard templates, naming conventions, and evidence requirements to ensure consistency across certifications.
- Conduct pre-validation checks to prevent incorrect uploads into SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and reduce downstream rework.
- Document all findings, corrections, and remediation actions for audit traceability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Partner with application owners, GAA technicians, managers, and business units to verify campaign scope and entitlement accuracy.
- Provide clear updates, expected timelines, gap analysis, and remediation steps to stakeholders throughout the recertification cycle.
- Raise concerns constructively and offer solutions that support efficiency while upholding compliance.
- Ensure transparent communication and traceability using Abbott’s established communication channels (Teams, Outlook, ServiceNow, etc.).
