A global medical technology company specializing in minimally invasive therapeutic solutions is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager to support its continued expansion across Southeast Asia.

The organization operates internationally with a strong focus on innovation, physician education, and distributor-led market development within the healthcare and medical technology sectors. Its product portfolio supports minimally invasive clinical applications across multiple specialties and healthcare environments.

With ongoing expansion plans across Asia, the company is looking for a commercially driven individual to strengthen regional market presence, develop channel partnerships, and support long-term business growth initiatives.

Position Overview

This regional role will focus on driving commercial growth, distributor expansion, and market penetration across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will work closely with distributors, healthcare stakeholders, and regional partners to support business development activities and strengthen customer adoption across multiple ASEAN markets.

The position requires a highly independent and entrepreneurial individual with strong regional business development experience within the medical device or healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Business Development

  • Develop and execute business development strategies across Southeast Asia
  • Identify, onboard, and manage distributor partners within assigned markets
  • Drive commercial growth and support achievement of regional sales objectives
  • Conduct market analysis to identify business opportunities and competitive trends
  • Support regional market expansion initiatives and channel development activities

Distributor & Customer Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and channel partners
  • Support distributors in driving hospital penetration and customer engagement
  • Collaborate on business planning, forecasting, and commercial activities
  • Monitor distributor performance and support market development initiatives

Customer & Market Engagement

  • Work closely with hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare stakeholders to support product adoption
  • Support product launches, workshops, training sessions, and educational activities
  • Participate in regional exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with technical and clinical support teams to enhance customer experience

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare business updates, forecasts, and market reports for management
  • Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence
  • Work closely with regional and international stakeholders across commercial and support functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within medical devices, healthcare, or related commercial industries
  • Experience within surgical devices, minimally invasive technologies, capital equipment, or healthcare technologies is advantageous
  • Proven experience managing regional distributors or channel partners across Southeast Asia
  • Strong commercial and business development capabilities
  • Experience engaging hospitals, clinicians, or healthcare stakeholders
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable operating independently within a regional role
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Southeast Asia
  • Fluency in English is required; additional Southeast Asian language capabilities are advantageous
