Job Description
- Developing and maintaining a close relationship with Chinese Sellers and Brands operating on Shopee Malaysia
- Serve as a key communication bridge between the local Shopee Malaysia team and China-based sellers, brands, and cross-border internal counterparts
- Resolve seller-related inquiries, issues, and escalations from various stakeholders
- Oversee assigned accounts, including negotiating deals, operational improvement and campaign participation to maximize growth
- Constructing high-level strategic business plans and identifying new sources of growth
- Educating Sellers on methods to increase their traction on Shopee, including platform policies, local market trends, and consumer behaviour specific to the Malaysian market
- Negotiating deals with sellers and curating SKUs for various campaigns, promotions, online marketing, and media as required
- Analyzing sellers' progress, activities, sales performances and category initiatives to drive transaction numbers and revenue
- Identifying market gaps and managing pricing strategy, product assortment, and the stock availability of Sellers in the category
- Securing exclusive partnerships for key campaigns (eg: 9.9/11.11)
- Working closely with internal teams (eg: marketing, merchandising) to optimize the visibility and credibility of Sellers
- A Bachelor's degree in any field; experience in the e-commerce industry will be an added advantage. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong analytical skills (strong experience with Excel analysis necessary)
- Innovative problem-solving skills; able to dissect and identify problems and implement solutions accordingly
- Excellent team player with an aptitude for sales, and a drive to always deliver on KPIs
- Excellent command of written and spoken Mandarin is required, as the role involves day-to-day communication with Chinese sellers and brands
- Proficiency in English is required; ability to converse in Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage
- Prior experience studying, living, or working in China is strongly preferred, as familiarity with Chinese business culture and communication style is key to success in this role
