The Resource Manager is responsible for supporting the effective allocation and utilization of talent across client engagements for a portfolio of capabilities/geographies and/or markets. This role focuses on executing staffing decisions, maintaining accurate resource data, and ensuring alignment between project needs and available skills. Working as part of the Resource Management function, the Resource Manager plays a key role in delivering efficient staffing outcomes, supporting utilization targets, and enabling high-quality client delivery.
The Resource Manager is actively involved in global RM change initiatives across the region and globally. This role requires a balance of influence, relationship management, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, client-driven environment, while also promoting consistent use of resource management tools, processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities
Resourcing
- Manage end-to-end staffing and resource planning across assigned engagements or portfolios, balancing consultant capability, availability, cost, utilization, pipeline demand, and account growth priorities by drawing upon available reports
- Capitalize on RM reporting to manage capacity to proactively identifying timely redeployment opportunities that support utilization, client demand, and consultant development.
- Independently manage to resolve staffing conflicts across multiple engagements by balancing business priorities, consultant availability, development goals, and commercial considerations, escalating significant risks where appropriate.
- Utilize cultural intelligence to tailor staffing strategies across geographies, balancing local market practices and cultural norms, stakeholder expectations, business priorities, and global resource management processes.
- Proactively identify and advocate for new / unknown or underutilized talent across assigned portfolios, matching individuals to suitable engagement opportunities that support capability development and business needs
- Apply detailed knowledge of assigned talent pools, including skills, availability, development interests, gaps, and surpluses, to inform staffing decisions and support workforce planning
- Ensure staffing decisions align with individual development goals, career aspirations, business needs and appropriate stretch opportunities
- Apply capacity reporting and demand forecasts to inform staffing decisions, identify resource gaps and escalate recommendations to support timely enablement and / or sourcing hiring of new talent
- Conduct regular reviews of Committed Delivery Team composition across assigned portfolios, balancing internal and external talent and refreshing talent pool as required.
- Hold regular forecast review meetings with leaders of your portfolio of talent to identify resource gaps, manage capacity risks, and develop staffing action plans.
- Raise capability gaps with leaders, with recommendations for addressing gaps
- Proactively partner with Opportunity Leaders during the sales process to architect the workforce requirements of opportunities over $100k @ 90%/over $250k at 50% - proactively resolving resource capacity issues through redeployment of talent or sourcing new CWF.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the commercial drivers of the business, including revenue, margin, utilisation, and cost control; Aligns resource allocation decisions with business priorities, ensuring optimal utilisation and profitability; Balances client needs with internal cost considerations to maximise commercial outcomes
- Deliver regular portfolio of talent analytics including financial and business data, supported by business insights and recommendations
- Partner with regional Partners, Directors, and Engagement Managers to understand engagement requirements
- Proactively partner with regional capability and market leaders to identify opportunities to optimize resourcing
- Proactively stay current in understanding and applying knowledge of the organizational matrix, including solutions, markets, geographies, lines of business, and internal functions, to inform staffing decisions, support workforce planning, and identify resource opportunities and risks arising from organizational changes.
- Support continuous improvement. Involvement in RM Change Initiatives - throughout the life cycle - designed, development, pilot and go live.
- Supports continuous improvement in resource planning to enhance efficiency and commercial performance
- Support the delivery of change management efforts for a portfolio in relation to RM technology and process transformation
- Support the adoption of AI and advanced analytics to enhance resource planning, forecasting, and deployment decisions.
- Use RM approved AI tools and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability of resource management processes
- Encourage adoption of KF systems for portfolio of talent e.g. S&Q, TF Bookings Board for talent portfolio
- Manage data integrity and visibility for portfolio of talent e.g. S&Q, TF Bookings Board for talent portfolio
- Ensure TalentFinder is the central repository for all resourcing requests and consultant bookings, ensuring alignment with global resourcing processes and delivery tracking standard
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in resource management, workforce planning or consulting operations
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional services or corporate environment is strongly preferred
- Strong commercial and financial acumen. Good understanding of project economics, utilization, and revenue drivers
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and guide teams through evolving business needs
- Strong communication and leadership presence. Influencing, negotiation, and conflict- and stakeholder management
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, working effectively under pressure and with short timelines/competing demands
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to demonstrable project management skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple geographies/cultures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI ; experience with ERP and RM systems (preferred)
- Fluent English; multilingual preferred
