Site Overview:
GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories.
In 2018, we reaffirmed our continued commitment to Malaysia with a major US$80 million investment to further develop the Subang facility. This led to technological advancements that cemented GEESM’s role as a critical MRO hub for Malaysia's aviation industry. The MRO work on LEAP introduced the next chapter of engineering excellence for GEESM, making it the first such facility outside the United States for GE Aerospace.
Employing more than 700 highly skilled local professionals and providing MRO services to more than 50 airlines worldwide, GEESM continues to exceed our customers’ expectations. With our technical expertise and pioneering spirit, we elevate the flying experience to new heights.
Work location: Subang and will be stationed at Sepang in 2027.
Role Overview:

Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for day-to-day SAP-related incidents reported by the GEESM MRO shop

Production SAP Issue Clearance & Triage: Troubleshoot Gate 1 SAP execution issues such as task list clearance and vendor setup, acting as the key liaison between business users and the technical DT team.

Incident Analysis: Document root causes and provide workarounds to minimize production downtime. Troubleshoot and analyse SAP issues using root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems efficiently.

Reporting & Shop Floor Visibility: Design, implement, and maintain SAP reporting dashboards and tools, including SAP Fiori apps, SAP Analytics Cloud, MRO Insight, and Spotfire, to provide real-time visibility into Gate 1 status and key performance indicators. Develop reports to monitor SOE status and help production teams identify delayed or pending closures.

Collaborative Relationships: Build strong collaborative relationships with SAP Super Users across Engineering, Production, Materials, Quality, and COM functions. Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and lead SAP-related process improvement initiatives.

Global Collaboration: Collaborate with the global SAP Operations Support team and product teams to ensure timely resolutions to any transactional, data, or process issues encountered with SAP.

User Training: Review historical incident trends to identify knowledge gaps and develop training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures and user guides.

User Acceptance Testing: Support site User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for SAP projects and enhancements that improve user experience and operational effectiveness.

Process Standardization: Drive production support standardization and promote standard SAP operating practices to ensure transactional accuracy.

Issue Routing: Ensure accurate issue identification and routing to the appropriate support teams based on shop priorities.

Release Support: Support SAP product and operations teams during scheduled releases and system enhancements, including test case understanding, end-user validation, and documentation readiness prior to production deployment.

Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for application and process improvements that enhance shop productivity. Coordinate communication and training between SAP teams and key shop users to support effective adoption of system and process changes.

Matrix Reporting: Provide visibility to the site DT Leader on emerging SAP trends, risks, and operational concerns.
Required Qualification:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a SAP ECC Application Support role.

SAP Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP functionality, configuration principles, production execution processes, and the operational impact of SAP in a shopfloor or production environment.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis, issue breakdown, and stakeholder identification.

Training: Proven ability to develop and deliver clear, concise, and user-friendly training materials.

Matrix Reporting: This position will have matrix reporting to Operations/Production and Digital Technology team.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding with SAP and with the way aircraft engine MRO shop floor transactions are processed, ensuring effective alignment between system activity and operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with GE Aerospace engine components and repair processes is a plus.
