Job Description
- Conduct comprehensive background research to understand the client's business environment
- Leading and performing assigned audit engagement based on applicable financial reporting, audit, and quality management standards
- Direct the day-to-day activities of the audit team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Supervise and review the work of associates and trainees, ensuring adherence to set objectives, independence, objectivity, and balance
- Manage audit engagements and team affairs, ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
- Coordinate with team members to address any issues and ensure smooth operation Identify compliance issues and ensure audits adhere to relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards
- Resolving moderate audit issues, utilizing professional judgment
- Consult with superiors to resolve significant audit issues, ensuring compliance with standards
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients during audit engagements, ensuring clear communication and understanding of audit processes
- Advance to profound understanding of audit concepts and preparation of audit working papers
- Ability to identify and report audit issues under supervision.
- Familiarity with auditing standards, MIA by-laws, financial accounting standards, and relevant laws such as the Companies Act and Accountants Act.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and audit team members. Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse audit tasks.
