Senior Java Developer – Spring Boot / AWS

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia
Work Mode: Hybrid

We are a lean, high-impact team where engineers work directly on cutting-edge AI products serving enterprise clients across Malaysia and the region.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer – Spring Boot / AWS to develop robust Java applications, integrate APIs, and deploy solutions on the AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs with internal and external systems.
  • Work with AWS cloud services to support application deployment and scalability.
  • Utilize CI/CD tools and processes for efficient software delivery.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and enhance application performance.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders.
  • Follow coding standards, security practices, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Minimum 6+ years of Java development experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of REST API development experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of AWS cloud experience
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment processes
  • Good understanding of software design, debugging, and production support
  • Able to work independently as a senior developer

Nice-to-have:

  • Frontend development experience
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
