Job Summary
The Priority Mortgage Relationship Manager will to join our Personal Banking Mortgages Team in Taman Molek Office, the job holder is responsible for driving mortgage sales growth by acquiring new customers and deepening relationships with existing clients, also to involves actively prospecting for potential customers, providing comprehensive financial advice, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the mortgage application process.

In the mass retail space, we're focused on emerging affluent clients who will progress in their wealth journey with us and form the pipeline of future affluent clients.We’re a leading wealth manager in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and our deep local presence and international network enables us to capture the strong structural tailwinds which are driving cross-border wealth flows. Our comprehensive product propositions span across deposits, payments, financing, advisory, investments and bancassurance.We’re investing USD $1.5 billion in our Affluent banking business. Our investment focuses on affluent frontline teams, wealth and digital platforms, and client centres, as well as brand and marketing, to drive growth. Key Responsibilities
Business
Source for prospective clients (Personal, Priority and Business Banking) for mortgage loans through alliance tie-ups such as real estate agents, mortgage brokers, developers & lawyers.
Understand client needs for mortgage financing, structure proposed solution and close the sale further to credit approval.
Understand and uncover client’s other financial needs and refer relevant retail and wealth products
Working alongside EB and segment team to include Mortgage offers as part of corporates offers as part of cross-sales activities
Processes
Ensure adherence to concerned policies including on call reports, appointments with customers and pipeline management to ensure timely completion of end-to-end mortgage process.
Conduct regular scheduled visits and develop constant engagement with all dealers, developers and mortgage brokers aligned to country engagement model and strategy.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Skills and Experience
Education Possess minimum SPM (passed)
Minimum 7 years of experience in mortgage, preferably in the banking or financial industry.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of mortgage products and the property market is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong customer relationships.
Possess a valid driving license as the role requires travelling.
