Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Investigate, DOE, and experiment on bar fab processes to optimize yield and quality of processes.
- Manage or knowledge of saw process for scribe/cleave, stacking, wafer saw, and integration of bar fab modules used in facet coating technology.
- Characterize the process output including across spacer and within spacer uniformity using profilometer, confocal microscope, and SEM and other FA techniques when needed.
- Create and manage process flows, MES/Camstar WIP tracking, manage process traveler instructions and Agile change control.
- Summarize results and present status in monthly or weekly meetings.
- Track Cpks and SPC parameters and retrain and enforce process and module procedures.
- Prefer Minimum 5 yr. experience - BS/MS Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Knowledge of opto-electronics packaging design and related materials and processes.
- Hands-on experience with various assembly equipment and processes, such as epoxy/eutectic attach, wire bonding, optical alignment, and mechanical assembly.
- Knowledgeable in the use of UV epoxies specifically for optical alignment processes.
- Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
- Able to work independently as an individual contributor and also in a team setting.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
- This role is 100% onsite
