POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve year-on-year value improvements across quality, service, innovation, and cost
- Identify and recommend solutions to business problems, spot opportunities for improvement, and present ideas to leadership
- Establish and support a culture of continuous improvement, seeking efficiency, automation, and innovation
- Partner closely with center-led category managers to understand and implement enterprise-wide strategies
- Represent network and site-specific requirements with the category management organization
- Collaborate with key support functions (e.g., legal, finance, quality/compliance) to align on supply management objectives
- Ensure manufacturing sites receive consistent support, including stakeholder engagement, site-level diagnostics, workshops to identify savings, and supplier quality/supply continuity oversight
- Serve as a communication link between manufacturing facilities and suppliers
- Build strong supplier relationships and serve as the primary contact for issue resolution
- Lead supplier negotiations and implement strategy changes as needed
- Develop robust data gathering and maintenance protocols to ensure spend transparency and establish a baseline for sourcing cost reduction
- Conduct internal and external benchmarks and gap analyses; define required actions to achieve functional advantage
- Emphasize risk mitigation and ensure execution of procedures that protect supply and operational stability
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent
- Relevant experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain, or advanced degree with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLSET REQUIRED:
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Demonstrated leadership, customer service, problem solving, communication, negotiation, tact, judgment, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strategy development and execution aligned with Strategic Sourcing methodology
- Experience in FDA-regulated industries
- Ability to partner with and influence internal technical experts
- Proven ability to influence teams and external suppliers to deliver results
- Strong program management skills
- Solid business and legal acumen
- Positive and energetic team player with strong cross-functional collaboration experience
