Staff Specialist Logistics

Managing logistics service providers and optimizing shipping operations.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Execute daily import and export administration and control activities.
• Manage and monitor the transit time performance of freight forwarders and transporters.
• Handle freight forwarder management and insurance claims.
• Plan, monitor, and ensure smooth shipment movements, efficient logistics flow, and timely deliveries.
• Manage continuous improvement projects with freight forwarders and transporters.
• Assist the Customs Officer (CO) and ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external parties (e.g., Customs, FMM, and logistics service providers) as well as counterparts at other sites.
• Participate in budgeting, planning, and forecasting of import and export freight costs.

• Bachelor’s degree required, postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of business processes, particularly in supply chain management, project management, customs regulations and free trade agreements.
