The Component Supply Planning team is a collaborative group dedicated to navigating component shortages and managing Strategic Inventory (STI) buffers to ensure the continuous operation and resilience of our global supply chain. The team cooperates closely with Global Demand Planners, Buyers, Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Direct Procurement, Supply Assurance, and our manufacturing partners.

The Supply Chain Planner II has a key role in executing our component safety stock processes. You will be stepping into a highly visible position where your analytical skills and communication strategies directly protect Zebra from global supply constraints. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, love data management, and excel at stakeholder communication, this is the place to grow your career.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support Strategic Inventory (STI): Support and actively participate in the deployment of supply chain models, partnering with global supply and procurement teams to help recommend and manage strategic inventory buffers.

  • Mitigate Constraints: Apply Zebra’s procedures to resolve issues and mitigate constraints impacting the supply plan, including capacity constraints, transportation issues, and component shortages.
  • Monitor Operations & KPIs: Monitor open purchase orders and safety stock levels; manage data for approved inventory levels and assist in reporting key KPIs/scorecards to evaluate the health of our supply buffers.
  • Escalate Shortages: Escalate component shortages within the broader supply chain organization and work collaboratively to support comprehensive mitigation plans and resolutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain strong working relationships, translating complex supply chain decisions into clear actions to confirm production and shipping schedules.
  • Data & Analytics: Perform ad-hoc data analysis as needed to maintain comprehensive data management and evaluate supply chain health.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects as a representative of the supply chain function, proactively identifying process gaps and sharing best practices across our global teams.
