  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to customers by meeting Group objectives using allocated resources while maintaining operational risk within acceptable limits.
  • Support the Head of Financing, Securities and Services in leading the Fund Services Team to achieve and exceed service quality standards, aiming for zero defects for Bank customers.
  • Assist the Head of Securities Services in monitoring individual performance against objectives, providing support, motivation, and guidance to staff to meet these goals. Contribute to associate development through coaching, mentoring, and support.
  • Ensure productivity targets—including efficiency, accuracy, defect management, and processing turnaround times—are met within the area of responsibility.
  • Lead and drive the team through transformation initiatives, fostering innovative ideas and new working methods to enhance operational efficiency and improve the client experience.
  • Ensure all department staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to perform their roles effectively, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Promote a performance-driven culture by setting SMART objectives, regularly reviewing departmental and individual performance, and providing appropriate support and guidance.
  • Oversee succession planning for key roles, manage employee attrition, and develop plans for high-potential individuals within the department.
  • Verify transactions processed by Associates and authorize those within delegated authority; review and approve customer Fund Services orders against the Fund Services system.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with counterparts in Spoke countries, Chennai Counterparty, Group offices, and within the Company to ensure open, prompt, and professional communication of issues, needs, and queries.
  • Enhance client experience by supporting initiatives such as system enhancements, change management, and cross-border business continuity planning to improve STP rates and process efficiency with minimal resources.
  • Plan and conduct resiliency and call tree exercises regularly in alignment with the GBS calendar, ensuring critical activities are balanced across GBS sites with zero exceptions in H1 and H2 exercises.
  • Build a high-performance team through hiring, training, and development to meet operational goals; provide ongoing feedback and conduct formal performance reviews semi-annually; ensure Business Recovery Planning is regularly conducted and tested.
Skills and Experience
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in fund services, including at least 3 years leading teams of 10 to 15 members.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy;
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing diverse and rapidly changing work pressures and client demands;
  • Excellent communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the flexibility to engage effectively with both external and internal clients;
  • Ability to follow established procedures while proactively identifying and communicating opportunities for procedural improvements.
  • Supervisory and leadership expertise;
  • Experience managing projects or initiatives is a valuable asset;
  • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience within the relevant industry;
  • Skilled in coaching and developing team members;
  • Knowledge of fund valuation, including mutual funds, hedge funds, and offshore private funds, is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Banking. Economics or equivalent is essential
