Underwriting Associate, Marine

Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.Your New Role :

• Assist underwriters in underwriting of the various products (i.e. Marine, etc.) including triaging inquiries, preparing underwriting information, following up with intermediaries, and closing deals.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
• Regularly collect, compile and analyze market info to share with the team.
• Support credit control in payment collection when needed by coordinating with intermediaries.
• Tracking, reporting and analyzing team’s referrals, backlogs and other productivity and efficiency related management requirements.
• Be the digital ambassador of the team.
• Recommend and implement initiatives in streamlining policies, processes and procedures to meet business need
• Provide interpretation and advice regarding polices, process and procedures.
• Maintain accurate data in relevant systems and databases.
• Key Performance Indicator: Deliver business results by allocated intermediaries.
• Key Performance Indicator: Meeting all operational KPIs.
• Key Performance Indicator: Risk awareness and governance
  
  

About You:

• Minimum 3+ years of underwriting experience in insurance business together with relevant policy documentation handling experience.
• Strong analytical, communication & interpersonal skills.
• Sound PC skills and fast learner in computer programs.
• Basic knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Good understanding of process and procedures
