Workato Integration Architect (all genders)

We are looking for an experienced Workato Integration Architect (all genders) to join our remote-first team in Malaysia and work closely with our colleagues in Germany. If you're passionate about designing scalable integration architectures and building robust automation solutions across complex system landscapes, this might be the perfect role for you.
You’ll be part of our growing team in Malaysia, collaborating with integration specialists, consultants, and designers. Together with our German teams, you will play a key role in shaping integration strategies and delivering high-quality solutions for international clients.
Working hours are typically aligned with Central European Time (08:00–17:00 CET), with flexibility to ensure smooth collaboration across time zones.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only able to consider applications from candidates who hold Malaysian citizenship and reside in Malaysia.
Your Role
- Design and implement integration architectures using Workato
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions
- Structure and estimate the scope of requirements
- Develop, implement, and optimize Workato recipes, workflows, and genies
- Integrate cloud and on-premise systems via APIs (REST, SOAP)
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of integration solutions
- Act as a technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with international teams, especially in Germany
- Document architecture decisions, integration flows, and best practices
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in integration architecture, middleware, or automation platforms
- Proven hands-on experience with Workato (mandatory); familiarity with comparable iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Zapier (beneficial)
- Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns (REST, SOAP, event-driven architectures)
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Solid knowledge of data structures, transformation, and orchestration concepts
- Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Experience working in international and remote teams is a plus
