About the role:
- Manage and support workshop technicians, including scheduling, performance monitoring, coaching, and addressing employee matters.
- Manage daily workshop operations to ensure fast, safe, and high-quality service while leading a team of technicians.
- Ensure accurate job documentation, monitor productivity, and work progress, and maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate work schedules, ensure timely unit delivery, support technical modifications, and perform pre-delivery checks.
- Oversee inspection, tagging, and maintenance of rental units, batteries, and floor stock in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Drive a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with EHS standards, conduct inspections, and report incidents as per guidelines.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Safety
- Schedule daily technician tasks.
- Coach and train team members.
- Resolve basic employee issues.
- Enforce strict workplace safety rules.
- Conduct regular workshop inspections to identify hazards.
- Report and document incidents following company guideline.
- Provide technical support when needed.
Workshop Administration
- Track job progress daily.
- Complete work orders accurately.
- Monitor team productivity levels.
- Keep work bays clean.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Update internal teams on progress.
Equipment & Quality Control
- Ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Maintain rental units for hire.
- Check modifications meet engineering standards.
- Perform final pre-delivery inspections.
- Manage off-hire trucks and batteries.
Ad Hoc Duties
- Support team engagement and undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in supervisory or management roles, preferably within industrial environments
- Experience in capital equipment sales and servicing is an added advantage
- Strong customer focus with effective relationship management skills
- Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Solid technical knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Strong people management capabilities.
