Account Payable Accountant

AL Maritime is a business unit within GM&T (Global Markets & Technologies). The activity is articulated around four main businesses: Global Helium, Global Rare Gases, Offshore Energies and Maritime Cryogenic Supply. It is a very international environment, managing multiple locations worldwide.

As part of AL Maritime, Cryogenic Tank Services (CTS) is a Malaysian entity which was acquired in 2015. CTS specializes in cryogenic tank and equipment rental for the offshore and maritime industries as well as in cryogenic transport of molecules, and provides a full range of repair and testing services.

CTS is looking to accelerate its expansion through key development segments. The Accounts Payable Accountant position is within CTS, based in Kuala Lumpur.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Accounts Payable

• Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable ledger process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Diligently manage and document all pending invoices, maintaining a clear log with action plans and performing prompt follow-ups to resolve discrepancies.
• Proactively manage the aging of pending invoices.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations for AP transactions to ensure balances are aligned.
• Assist the Treasury team by preparing and sending payment advice to suppliers as required.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to the supplier invoicing process.
  
  

Project Accounting & General Ledger

• Accurately post costs to relevant projects and jobs, particularly for those billed in the current month.
• Prepare detailed monthly schedules for Project Work-In-Progress (WIP) and related expense accounts, ensuring all job and asset details are captured.
• Support the Senior Accountant during internal and external audits by preparing audit confirmations, generating GL listings, and compiling necessary supporting documentation.
  
  

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Assist in the timely and accurate completion of internal control documentation (e.g., SAPIN II, Self Assessment Tools - SAT).
• Support the implementation and alignment of Group Internal Control initiatives, including the "must-have" core controls.
  
  

Are you a MATCH?

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or ACCA is a plus.

Experience:

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a big advantage.
• Audit and/or Shared Service experience is another plus.
• 2 years working experiences.
• Fresh Graduate students is welcome to apply this position.
  
  

Knowledge Specific to the Position:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
