Job Description

As the AM, Finance Group Reporting, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of group financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance. You will lead and manage key reporting functions to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively across departments and subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage group consolidation including preparation of notes and analytical reviews.
• Prepare and review segmental reporting and analysis for business units.
• Conduct balance sheet analysis and highlight variances or issues.
• Coordinate and manage group audit processes, ensuring smooth collaboration with auditors.
• Prepare and review statutory reporting (AFS) and liaise with regulatory bodies.
• Oversee Bursa Malaysia reporting requirements including quarterly results (QR) and annual report (AR).
• Drive management reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead sustainability-related financial reporting in line with ESG and corporate governance initiatives.
• Perform financial ratio and performance analysis.
• Manage financial risk reporting, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) aging analysis.
• Handle financial covenant compliance reporting for financial institutions and lenders.
• Act as focal point for accounting technicalities, providing guidance on MFRS and other accounting standards.
• Serve as the custodian of group accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across the group.
• Support the Audit Committee (AC) in preparing reports and addressing matters arising.
• Conduct financial impact assessments for strategic decisions and new projects.
• Review subsidiary AFS and provide guidance where required.
• Manage external and internal historical reporting for the group.
• Execute ad-hoc assignments as required by senior management.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a public listed company or audit firm with property development exposure.
• Strong understanding of MFRS, Bursa reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in consolidation, financial analysis, and statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is an added advantage.

Base Salary: RM6K - RM8K
