As an Analyst – General Ledger, you will be part of a team of domain experts responsible for clarifying accounting issues, analyzing and correcting errors, and supporting process improvement initiatives in coordination with the General Ledger Senior Analyst. You will take ownership of daily general ledger transactions and month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording in compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal guidelines. The role requires close collaboration with internal and external collaborators, including regional accounting hubs and local business teams, to address sophisticated operational matters and drive informed decision-making. You will also contribute to knowledge sharing by promoting best practices across Siemens Energy’s global finance community.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Prepare periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) in compliance with IFRS and internal guidelines, ensuring accuracy across multiple systems within set deadlines.
- Perform general ledger month-end activities, account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and postings of accruals, provisions, and other GL entries.
- Maintain GL account hygiene, support audits by providing timely, accurate information, and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Support process documentation by performing and updating Desktop Procedures (DTPs) and assist in developing new DTPs for evolving processes.
- Contribute to process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives, participating in cross-functional projects as needed.
- Foster professional growth by embracing feedback, engaging in learning opportunities, and building strong collaborator relationships across global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience in General Ledger accounting.
- Initial experience in General Ledger within Accounting & Finance Operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles; familiarity with IFRS is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; basic understanding of SAP processes is desirable.
- Experience in transitions or transformation projects is a plus; willingness to travel for training or knowledge transfer when required.
- Strong communication skills with an open, collaborative attitude and fluency in English.
