VDL Agrotech is expanding its commercial team and is open for a driven and entrepreneurial Area Sales Manager with a passion for international business. Someone who thrives on building relationships, closing big deals, and helping shape custom technical solutions for clients in the livestock industry.


What are you going to do?

As Area Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing VDL’s market share in your region. You’ll travel internationally on a regular basis to visit customers and projects. Together with local agents, clients, and the internal engineering team, you’ll translate customer needs into effective, tailored solutions.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a regional business plan
  • Managing key accounts and building new relationships
  • Identifying sales opportunities and closing deals
  • Coordinating with engineering on project feasibility and solutions
  • Contributing to quotations, pricing, and contract terms
  • Representing VDL at international trade shows and industry events
  • Reporting sales results and market insights

Profile

You are an energetic and self-starting sales professional with a technical edge. You understand the agribusiness world and know how to speak the language of the customer.


You bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in agribusiness, international business, or a technical field
  • Several years of experience in B2B international sales
  • Affinity with livestock systems (poultry or swine is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch (French or German is a plus)
  • A proactive, flexible, and independent mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
