- Assist in producing various financial management reports which are released to management and head office.
- Timely and accurate preparation of required financial reports, including monthly management accounts, financial statements, statutory returns (including other submissions to regulator such as ISM report, MHIT report, PIDM and etc.).
- Establish understanding of key trends in results of the business. This would enable the function to be the first line of detection for trends which could assist management in making key decisions.
- Involve in preparation and development BNM ITSR report for phase 1 and 2. To ensure the data submitting is accurate and complete the development as per timeline set by BNM.
- Assist in design and maintain management controls for financial closing and reporting process.
- Assist in update of reporting process, where necessary perform enhancement to increase efficiency or tighten controls, by providing solutions that is most advanced in industry practice.
- Perform reporting related task on closing process such as posting of tax, zakat journals, etc.
- Ensures compliance with local and international accounting standards, statutory regulations, and any other financial related requirements.
- Reports (including financial statements) produced are accurate, consistent and reasonable in accordance with prescribed financial reporting standards and regulatory framework.
- Provides risk management support to the Financial Reporting team.
- comply with risk management practices within the financial reporting process, in line with the various risk and compliance guidelines as released by the corresponding section in the Company.
- Other ad-hoc activities deemed necessary to support Finance functions.
- Provide support for various projects which requires involvement of financial reporting support, including but not limited to development of new products and change of business rules. To ensure key finance related requirements are met.
- As and when required, the candidate may be required to provide support to other functions within the Finance division. Such requests would be initially assessed for its appropriateness by the management and would be of a nature such that no unreasonable demands are made of the candidate, and with expectations that is reasonable given the circumstances.
