Assistant Manager, OPEX Controlling

JOB SUMMARY

• Support CMA Ships OPEX in optimizing cost reliability and improving processes efficiency.
• Provide support to the Business Controller in Singapore controlling, monitoring and analysing port agent invoices in collaboration with business control team, port agents and operational team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform daily invoice (details and allocation)
2. Perform corrective actions
3. Provide timely reporting and meaningful analysis of OPEX Form 7 to support management in decision making
4. Recommend and participate to process improvements
5. Ensure invoices are correctly recorded according to supporting documents and costs allocation rules.
6. Perform corrective actions (reclassifications, credit notes, …)
7. Provide regular analysis highlighting areas of non-compliances or areas of concern in the master template
8. Control that all stakeholders are acting according to allocations rules and processes.
9. Provide invoice approval progress statement on a weekly basis.
10. Support Business Controller for closing tasks, analysis and reporting
11. Provide recommendations on areas of weaknesses to enhance controls, process efficiency and tools.
12. Ensure quality, accurate and timely deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENT

1. Candidate must possess at least a Degree holder in Accountancy/finance/controlling or equivalent with holder of a recognized professional qualification - ACCA / CIMA / CPA qualified.
2. Minimum 3 to 4 years relevant in cost control.
3. Computer literate and high competent in Excel, and PowerQuery; Level of proficiency (at least intermediate which includes but not exhaustive eg. Pivot, v-lookup, @ if functions).
4. Power BI, Power Query knowledge is preferred.
5. Proficiency in accounting applications (preferably ERP system).
6. Able to think creatively and analytically with positive working attitude and is self-starter and enabler.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with both internal and external parties.
8. Dedicated, Meticulous and good analytical skills with attention to detail.
9. Dynamic and good problem-solving skills.
10. Work independently and manage well under pressure.
